Skorpion Skates Warranty

One-Year Limited Warranty
Subject to the following limitations, terms and conditions, Skorpion Sports Ltd (“Company”) warrants to the original owner of each new pair of Skorpion™ or Skorpies™ Skates that they are new and free of defective materials and workmanship. This warranty shall expire one-year from the date of the original purchase from the Company or an Authorized Retailer or Distributor and is conditioned upon the skates being operated under normal conditions and use, and properly maintained in accordance with the Company’s owner’s manual, supplied with each pair of skates. You can also view the Company’s owner’s manual on the skorpion.com website.

If any component should break due to faulty materials or workmanship, or if the skates fail to function properly during the warranty period, Skorpion Sports Ltd. will, without charge to the consumer, repair or replace any product or component or part thereof that is defective or becomes defective during normal use within one-year after the date of purchase from Skorpion.com or an Authorized Retailer or Distributor, subject to the conditions of the warranty. Skorpion Sports Ltd. reserves the option to replace the product with a new or refurbished product.

Conditions of Warranty
The limited warranty is made only to the original owner of the new skates purchased from the Company or an Authorized Retailer or Distributor, and it shall remain in force only as long as the original owner retains ownership of the skates or for one-year from the date of purchase, whichever comes first. The limited warranty is not transferable.
In order to exercise your rights under this warranty, the warranty claim must be presented during the warranty period to the Company (if purchased on skorpion.com) or to   the authorized merchant you purchased them from, together with a receipt, bill of sale or other appropriate proof of purchase. The original owner shall pay all delivery or shipping charges connected with delivery or shipment of the defective component(s) to the Company or Authorized Retailers or Distributors.

Under no circumstances does the limited warranty include the cost of travel, delivery or shipment to the Company or its Authorized Retailers or Distributors. Such costs, if any, shall be paid by the original owner. The Company shall pay the shipping costs associated with shipment of replacement or repaired components to the original owner. The original owner shall be responsible for any re-assembly if required.
It is the responsibility of the original owner to ensure that once purchase is received, all parts included in the factory sealed carton are accounted for and all function. It is also the responsibility of the original owner to perform or provide all reasonable and necessary maintenance and adjustments to keep the skates in good working order.

Skorpion Sports Ltd. does not warrant its products against damage caused by third parties. This warranty does not cover scratches, cosmetic blemishes or other normal wear and tear; nor any claimed defects, malfunctions or failures that result from abuse, neglect, shipping damage, damage caused accidentally or deliberately, exceeding weight limits, improper maintenance, alteration, collision, crash or misuse or improper use. The skates have not been designed engineered, distributed manufactured, or retailed for uses in trick skating, ramp riding, jumping, aggressive skating, skating on severe terrain, skating in severe climates, skating with heavy loads, commercial activities, use with motors, or any similar activities; such uses may damage the skates, can cause serious injury to the skater, and in all cases will void this warranty. The user assumes all risk of personal injury relating to the use of the skates, damage to or failure of the skate and any such injury, damage or loss if the skate is altered in any way or if used for stunt-riding, ramp jumping or similar activities.

The length of that useful product lifecycle will vary with the maintenance and care received over its useful product life, and the type and amount of use the Skorpion™ or Skorpies™ Skates are subject to. The Skorpion™ or Skorpies™ Skates should be checked periodically for indicators of stress and any other indicators of potential problems. These are important safety checks and very important to help prevent accidents, bodily injury to the rider and can shortened the useful product lifecycle.
